The National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) is one of the largest organized ski councils in the country. A non-profit
organization, the NBS was formed in 1974 by 13 ski clubs across the country and now boasts a membership of over 60 clubs
representing 43 cities with a membership of over 3,000 skiers, snowboarders, non-skiers. One of the organization's primary goals has been to support African
American youth with goals of becoming a member of the US Ski and Olympic Ski Teams.
